Elk River designs, manufactures and distributes personal fall protection products. Elk River, Inc. was founded in 1988 with the corporate headquarters in Cullman, Alabama and manufacturing facilities in Cullman and Athens, Alabama.
Elk River started operation with twelve products, two sewing machines, one grommet machine, and the American Dream. Today, there are over one hundred Elk River people, manufacturing over two thousand line items in three plants in two countries. Elk River currently has three operations in Alabama - one in Athens, and two in Cullman. We have sales throughout the United States, Central America and most of the Pacific Rim and over 3,000 distributors in countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Israel. On August 2, 1999, Bear Creek Specialties became a tributary of Elk River Inc. Bear Creek specializes in custom, screen printed apparel.
